Credit to John Roberts, who spotted an article in Umbrella Magazine (above, which you can read online) about Sonic Editions and its mod-related photography.
The company specialises in limited edition high quality fine art photographic prints, working with some of the world’s best photographers and picture archives, the finished items being limited editions and numbered, as well as being professionally framed and mounted.
Obviously that means they aren’t cheap, but if you are looking at something mod-related for the wall that isn’t tacky, this might be worth checking out.
In fact, the company has a mod gallery of images, which are well worth browsing. Some you’ll know, others perhaps not. The one below is just one example, called ‘Mod and the Plod’, which is a framed print of a photo taken in Margate in 1964.
You can see all of the mods gallery here, with prices starting at £75 for a framed print.
