These 1960s-style stripe cardigans by Beams Plus have been around for a while, but some new colours have just landed for the warmer months.

However, whether you need a cardigan in the warmer months is another thing. To be fair, the cardigans here aren’t the heavyweight numbers you might don in the winter. These are cotton cardigans, so they are more of a layer when it’s warm but not too warm.

The new range uses a slightly tweaked design but nothing radical. Compared to last year’s model, this one carries the stripes down through the pockets. If you want to compare, have a look at the fourth image down the page. That’s one of last year’s cardigans, which you can secure on the cheap in the sale. Outside of that detail, it’s pretty much the same design.

The cardigan is made by Beams Plus, a premium brand from Japan that takes inspiration from classics of the mid-20th century. Quality is always high. I’ve gravitated to this label over the years, particularly for the shirts and coats.

In this case, a cardigan design inspired by the 1960s, with details such as those contrasting stripes, a v-neck, a five-button front, ribbed trims, and two pockets. It works for smart and casual, too.

£155 is the price, with the sale cardigan available for £93 right now.

Want one? The new ones are just in for £155, with the cardigan from last year selling for £93.
