The Margate Mod and Sixties Festival 2019 returns over the Whitsun Bank Holiday of 24th-27th May 2019.
The rejuvenated seaside town of Margate on the Kent coast host the event, specifically at Olby’s Music Room, which houses three areas including a top live music and DJ venue, restaurant and the Dug Out room.
Situated opposite the new Turner Arts Centre in the heart of the old town, it is surrounded by vintage shops, boutique hotels, family-run cafes, restaurants, tea rooms, and even an old sweet shop.
The three evening events at Olby’s have two DJ rooms and a fantastic live music set-up, with free outside entertainment on Saturday and Sunday daytime at the Market place in the centre of the old town, with ample parking space for scooters.
The outside event will have a stage with live music and open decks DJ sessions, scooter competition, market, food and drinks.
Friday Daytime:

12-6pm- Scooter Cruise & Comp + MEDWAY DAY with THE SHADRACKS LIVE + Spinout DJ’s + Market.
Sunday Night:
8.30pm-3am GRAHAM DAY & THE FOREFATHERS + NU & Cookin’ Catfish Club DJ’s.

Scooter rideouts:
On Sunday, THANET AREA SCOOTER SERVICES and the South Coast Pirates Scooter Club will take you around the cliff tops and bays to Broadstairs first for ice cream at legendary Italian Gelato shop Morelli’s before heading onto Ramsgate, stopping at the harbour for a short refreshment break. We then head back across Manston airfield and into Margate and along the seafront, a really lovely ride for sure.
