Interesting to hear that one of the offshoot bands of the legendary Prisoners have reformed and are playing live – and for free. That’s The Prime Movers.
It isn’t actually on the ‘day’, but as part of Record Store Day, Paul Weller is playing for free at Rough Trade East in London.
Regular readers of the site might recall I did a feature on The Action – In The Lap Of The Mods recently, a VHS-only documentary based around the band’s reunion in the late 1990s. Well, it’s coming out again on DVD.
You might have to be quick about getting tickets, as the Paul Weller and Miles Kane Crisis gig is likely to sell pretty quickly.
Think I flagged this up on Facebook when it appeared on a European site, but now you can get this gig poster for The Who by Kii Arens in the UK. It’s discounted too.

You might not have heard of the band, but you might have heard of some of the personnel in The Red Inspectors – or at least, the bands they've been a part of.
Another gig to look out for, with The Birds playing at Manchester's Deaf Institute, which you'll find just off Oxford Road.
